11  The Committee on Water & Resource Management offered the

12  following:

14         Amendment 

15  Remove from the bill:  Everything after the enacting clause

16

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         Section 1.  Chapter 57-646, Laws of Florida, 1957, as

19  amended, is hereby amended to provide that the Board of

20  Supervisors of Indian Trail Improvement District shall have

21  the power to amend a previously approved water control plan by

22  resolution, provided that the district engineer certifies that

23  all land benefited by the improvements provided for in the

24  original plan receives the same or greater benefits as

25  previously assessed and that the estimated cost of

26  implementing the plan, as amended, does not exceed the total

27  benefits assessed in the manner provided by law, until such

28  time as Chapter 298 is amended to provide a process for

29  implementing Section 298.225(8), F.S.

30         Section 2.  Indian Trail Improvement District may

31  accept for maintenance additional facilities which are within

 1  its boundaries and which are donated to the District at no

 2  cost, and may supplement a previously adopted water control

 3  plan to include such facilities.

 4         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

 5  law.
