  2         An act relating to Indian Trail Improvement

  3         District, Palm Beach County; amending chapter

  4         57-646, Laws of Florida, as amended; providing

  5         for alternate methods of amending water control

  6         plans in addition to the provisions of chapter

  7         298, Florida Statutes; providing an effective

  8         date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  Chapter 57-646, Laws of Florida, 1957, as

13  amended, is hereby amended to provide that the Board of

14  Supervisors of Indian Trail Improvement District shall have

15  the power to amend a previously approved water control plan by

16  resolution, provided that the district engineer certifies that

17  all land benefited by the improvements provided for in the

18  original plan receives the same or greater benefits as

19  previously assessed and that the estimated cost of

20  implementing the plan, as amended, does not exceed the total

21  benefits assessed in the manner provided by law, until such

22  time as Chapter 298 is amended to provide a process for

23  implementing Section 298.225(8), F.S.

24         Section 2.  Indian Trail Improvement District may

25  accept for maintenance additional facilities which are within

26  its boundaries and which are donated to the District at no

27  cost, and may supplement a previously adopted water control

28  plan to include such facilities.

29         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

30  law.
