13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 13, between lines 6 and 7,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 5.  Subsection (6) of section 382.008, Florida

18  Statutes, 1998 Supplement, is amended to read:

19         382.008  Death and fetal death registration.--

20         (6)  The original certificate of death or fetal death

21  shall contain all the information required by the department

22  for legal, social, and health research purposes including for

23  the purpose of determining deaths due to suicide and child

24  abuse of minors who are pregnant.  All information relating to

25  cause of death in all death and fetal death records and the

26  parentage, marital status, and medical information included in

27  all fetal death records of this state are confidential and

28  exempt from the provisions of s. 119.07(1), except for health

29  research purposes as approved by the department; nor may

30  copies of the same be issued except as provided in s. 382.025.
