1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 University of Florida Health Center Operations
4 and Maintenance Trust Fund within the
5 Department of Education without modification
6 and placing it on the standard review cycle;
7 carrying forward current balances and
8 continuing current sources and uses thereof;
9 providing an effective date.

11 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
12 the University of Florida Health Center Operations and
13 Maintenance Trust Fund within the Department of Education,
14 which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to
15 constitutional mandate, and
16 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund
17 before its scheduled termination date and has found that it
18 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
19 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
20 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
21 its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

23 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

25 Section 1. (1) The University of Florida Health
26 Center Operations and Maintenance Trust Fund within the
27 Department of Education, FLAIR number 49-2-424, which was
28 created by section 240.513, Florida Statutes, and which is to
29 be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the
30 State Constitution on July 1, 2003, is re-created for the
31 period of July 1, 2003, to November 4, 2004.

1 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
2 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
3 are continued.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
