1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to public records; amending s.
3 447.605, F.S.; providing for disclosure of
4 certain identifying information about a public
5 employee which is exempt from public records
6 requirements to the employee's certified
7 bargaining agent under certain conditions;
8 providing an effective date.

10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12 Section 1. Subsection (4) is added to section 447.605,
13 Florida Statutes, to read:
14 447.605 Public meetings and records law; exemptions
15 and compliance.--
16 (4) An address, telephone number, or social security
17 number of a public employee which is otherwise exempt from
18 public records requirements by law must be disclosed to the
19 bargaining agent who is certified pursuant to this part to
20 represent that employee, upon written request by the
21 bargaining agent and submission of proof that the bargaining
22 agent is certified to represent that employee. The bargaining
23 agent must maintain the confidential status of any such
24 information and may use such information only for purposes
25 directly related to the bargaining agent's representation of
26 the public employee.
27 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
28 law.
