15         On page 23, between lines 13 and 14,

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         Section 18.  Subsection (1) of section 627.672, Florida

19  Statutes, is amended to read:

20         627.672  Definitions.--For the purposes of ss.

21  627.671-627.675:

22         (1)  A "Medicare supplement policy" is a health

23  insurance policy or other health benefit plan offered by a

24  private entity to individuals who are entitled to have

25  payments for health care costs made under Medicare, Title

26  XVIII of the Social Security Act ("Medicare"), as presently

27  constituted and as may later be amended, which provides

28  reimbursement for expenses incurred for services and items for

29  which payment may be made under Medicare but which expenses

30  are not reimbursable by reason of the applicability of

31  deductibles, coinsurance amounts, or other limitations imposed

 2  of one or more labor organizations, or of the trustees of a

 3  fund established by one or more labor organizations, or a

 4  combination thereof, for employees or former employees, or a

 5  combination thereof, or for members or former members, or a

 6  combination thereof, of the labor organizations.
