  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to property insurance;

  3         expressing the legislative intent to revise

  4         property insurance laws in order to reduce the

  5         size and exposure of the residual markets;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  The Legislature intends to amend property

11  insurance laws in order to reduce the size and exposure of the

12  Residential Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting

13  Association and the Florida Windstorm Underwriting

14  Association.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 1999.
