  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to surplus lines insurance;

  3         amending s. 626.916, F.S.; increasing a fee for

  4         certain policies; providing an effective date.

  6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  7

  8         Section 1.  Subsection (4) of section 626.916, Florida

  9  Statutes, is amended to read:

10         626.916  Eligibility for export.--

11         (4)  A reasonable per-policy fee, not to exceed $50

12  $25, may be charged by the filing surplus lines agent for each

13  policy certified for export.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.
