1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Brownfield Property Ownership Clearance
4 Assistance Revolving Loan Trust Fund within the
5 Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
6 Development in the Executive Office of the
7 Governor without modification and placing it on
8 the standard review cycle; carrying forward
9 current balances and continuing current sources
10 and uses thereof; providing an effective date.

12 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
13 the Brownfield Property Ownership Clearance Assistance
14 Revolving Loan Trust Fund within the Office of Tourism, Trade,
15 and Economic Development in the Executive Office of the
16 Governor, which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated
17 pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund
19 before its scheduled termination date and has found that it
20 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
21 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
22 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
23 its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

25 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

27 Section 1. (1) The Brownfield Property Ownership
28 Clearance Assistance Revolving Loan Trust Fund within the
29 Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development in the
30 Executive Office of the Governor, FLAIR number 31-2-595, which
31 was created by chapter 98-118, Laws of Florida, and assigned

1 to section 376.875, Florida Statutes, and which is to be
2 terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State
3 Constitution on July 1, 2002, unless terminated sooner by law,
4 is hereby terminated on November 4, 2000, and re-created.
5 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
6 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
7 are continued.
8 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
9 2000.
