13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 2, lines 23-30, delete those lines

16  and insert:  Retirement System, for the purpose of providing

17  benefits to a payee (retiree or beneficiary) of the Florida

18  Retirement System whose benefits would otherwise by limited by

19  s. 415(b) of the Internal Revenue Code.

20         (1)  ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRESERVATION OF

21  BENEFITS PLAN.--A payee of the Florida Retirement System shall

22  participate in the Preservation of Benefits Plan whenever his

23  or her earned benefit under the Florida Retirement System
