14         On page 1, line 21 through page 2, line 3

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         (a)  The sponsor of legislation naming such facilities

19  must provide written notice to the boards of county

20  commissioners of the counties in which the affected facilities

21  are located not later than 3 weeks prior to filing legislation

22  naming a state building, road, bridge, park, recreational

23  complex, or other similar facility for any elected public

24  official who is in office or for any other living person.

25         (b)  A true copy of the notice delivered must be

26  attached to the bill when introduced, but it is not necessary

27  to enter the notice, or proof thereof, in the journals. The

28  fact that the notice was provided to the appropriate boards of

29  county commissioners must be recited upon the journals of the

30  Senate and the House of Representatives. The notice must

31  accompany the bill throughout the legislative process, and
