13         Amendment 

14         On page 1, lines 21-31, and on page 2, lines 1-3,

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

16

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         (a)  Written notice shall be provided to the boards of

19  county commissioners in the counties where affected facilities

20  are located not later than 3 weeks prior to filing legislation

21  naming a state building, road, bridge, park, recreational

22  complex, or other similar facility for any elected public

23  official who is in office or for any living person.

24         (b)  A true copy of the notice delivered shall be

25  attached to the bill when introduced, but it shall not be

26  necessary to enter said notice, or proof thereof, in the

27  journals. The fact that such notice was established in the

28  Legislature shall in every case be recited upon the journals

29  of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and the notice

30  shall accompany the bill throughout the legislative process

31  and be preserved as part thereof in the Department of State.
