14         On page 3, line 6; after the period

16  insert:

17  It is the intent of the Legislature that, pursuant to future

18  legislative action, that this tax rate be reduced to the rate

19  of 1 mill on January 1, 2001, and further reduced to the rate

20  of 0.5 mills on January 1, 2002.  This tax would then be

21  repealed on January 1, 2003.
