14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 63, between lines 17 and 18, of the bill

16

17  insert:

18         Section 49.  The Department of Health may apply for and

19  become a National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation

20  program accrediting authority. The Department of Health, as an

21  accrediting entity, may adopt rules pursuant to ss. 120.536(1)

22  and 120.54, Florida Statutes, to implement standards of the

23  National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program,

24  including standards for proficiency testing providers, and

25  other rules not inconsistent with this section, including

26  fees, application procedures, standards applicable to

27  environmental or public water supply laboratories, and

28  compliance.
