  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to pay telephones; authorizing

  3         counties and municipalities to regulate the

  4         placement of pay telephones; providing an

  5         effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  A county or municipality may regulate the

10  placement of pay telephones on public and private property to

11  address documented health, safety, and welfare concerns,

12  notwithstanding the provisions of chapters 337 and 364,

13  Florida Statutes.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

15  law.
