  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Florida Housing Finance

  3         Corporation; abolishing the corporation;

  4         providing for the transfer of its assets,

  5         liabilities, and responsibilities to the

  6         Florida Housing Finance Agency; abolishing the

  7         corporation; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  After the current contract with the

12  Department of Community Affairs expires, all assets,

13  liabilities, and responsibilities of the Florida Housing

14  Finance Corporation will be transferred to the Florida Housing

15  Finance Agency, which is created within the Department of

16  Community Affairs. Upon the transfer of all its assets,

17  liabilities, and responsibilities to the Florida Housing

18  Finance Agency, the Florida Housing Finance Corporation is

19  abolished.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.

24                          SENATE SUMMARY

25    Abolishes the Florida Housing Finance Corporation at the
      expiration of its current contract with the Department of
26    Community Affairs and transfers its assets, liabilities,
      and responsibilities to the Florida Housing Finance
27    Agency.
