  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Comptroller; amending s.

  3         17.02, F.S.; clarifying the location and hours

  4         of operation of the Comptroller's office;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Section 17.02, Florida Statutes, is amended

10  to read:

11         17.02  Place of residence and office.--The Comptroller

12  shall reside at the seat of government of this state, and

13  shall have his or her hold office in a room in the capitol,

14  and shall perform duties prescribed by the State Constitution.

15  The Comptroller's office shall be open Monday through Friday

16  of every week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on legal holidays.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
