15         On page 68, line 30,

16         through page 69, line 9, delete those lines

18  and insert:

19         Section 55.  The Department of Health may apply for and

20  become a National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation

21  Program accrediting authority. The department, as an

22  accrediting entity, may adopt rules pursuant to sections

23  120.536(1) and 120.54, Florida Statutes, to implement

24  standards of the National Environmental Laboratory

25  Accreditation Program, including requirements for proficiency

26  testing providers and other rules that are not inconsistent

27  with this section, including rules pertaining to fees,

28  application procedures, standards applicable to environmental

29  or public water supply laboratories, and compliance.
