11  Senator Forman moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 4, between lines 19 and 20,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 15.  The State Veterans' Home in Pembroke Pines

18  is designated the Alexander "Sandy" Nininger, Jr., State

19  Veterans' Nursing Home.

20         Section 16.  The Department of Veterans' Affairs is

21  directed to erect suitable markers bearing the designation

22  made by this act.

23         Section 17.  (1)  The building currently housing the

24  Florida Records Storage Center of the Department of State,

25  located at 4319 Shelfer Road in Tallahassee, is designated the

26  "Jim Smith Building" in honor of former Secretary of State Jim

27  Smith who served as Florida's 21st Secretary of State from

28  August 5, 1987, to January 3, 1995.

29         (2)  The Department of State shall erect suitable

30  markers bearing the designation made by this section.

31         Section 18.  (1)  The Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869)

 1  located in Broward County is designated the "Jerry Thompson

 2  Expressway" in honor of the late Broward County Commissioner

 3  who served from November 1974 through November 1996.

 4         (2)  The Department of Transportation shall erect

 5  suitable markers bearing the designation made by this section.

12         On page 2, line 5, after the semicolon,

14  insert:

15         designating the Sawgrass Expressway in Broward
