  1                    Senate Resolution No.     

  2         A resolution recognizing Dr. Virginia Borrok

  3         for her years of community service in the

  4         Jacksonville area.

  5

  6         WHEREAS, Dr. Virginia Borrok is the President and CEO

  7  of Gateway Community Services, Inc., a comprehensive alcohol

  8  and drug-abuse treatment center that operates 14 facilities in

  9  the Jacksonville area, and

10         WHEREAS, Dr. Virginia Borrok was recently named

11  "Administrator of the Year" by the Florida Alcohol and Drug

12  Abuse Association, and

13         WHEREAS, through her work in developing programs for

14  juveniles and adolescents, Dr. Virginia Borrok has established

15  a network of comprehensive treatment programs which provides

16  intervention and case-management services and assists other

17  organizations and agencies in providing similar services, and

18         WHEREAS, Gateway Community Services, Inc., under the

19  dedicated leadership of Dr. Virginia Borrok, is a valuable

20  asset to the northeast Florida area, NOW, THEREFORE,

21

22  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

23

24         That the Florida Senate commends Dr. Virginia Borrok

25  for her outstanding dedication and service to the people of

26  Florida.

27         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the resolution,

28  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Dr.

29  Virginia Borrok as a tangible token of the sentiments of the

30  Florida Senate.
