11  Senator Campbell moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 9, between lines 20 and 21,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 3.  To further develop community-based care for

18  the elderly, the Department of Elderly Affairs shall contract

19  with providers licensed under chapter 400, Florida Statutes,

20  for purposes of implementing the long-term care diversion

21  project authorized under section 430.707, Florida Statutes,

22  using a fee-for-service method. The provider must meet all

23  financial and quality assurance requirements for a provider

24  service network, as specified in section 409.912, Florida

25  Statutes; be exempt from chapter 641, Florida Statutes; and

26  demonstrate a continuum of long-term care services.
