11  Senator Carlton moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 1, line 26 through page 2, line 3, delete those

15  lines

17  and insert:  proceeding be exempt in order to encourage

18  presuit settlements. Furthermore, the Legislature finds that

19  business records are of a sensitive nature and the disclosure

20  of such information could place the business at a competitive

21  disadvantage should these sensitive business records be

22  revealed to the public.

23         Section 3.  This act shall take effect on the effective

24  date of SB 940 or similar legislation relating to eminent

25  domain, and shall not take effect if that legislation does not

26  become a law.
