1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to state lands management;
3 requiring specific state agencies to report
4 costs associated with conservation and
5 recreation lands for which they are
6 responsible; providing duties of the Division
7 of State Lands; providing an effective date.

9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11 Section 1. (1) Each agency designated as the lead
12 management entity for any state-owned conservation and
13 recreation lands shall prepare a single summary report that
14 shows the estimated total unfunded management and development
15 cost associated with each individual parcel, facility, or unit
16 under the responsibility of the managing agency.
17 (2) This report must indicate the geographic location
18 of each unit and the specific funding requirements necessary
19 to manage the acreage in a manner consistent with the public
20 purpose for which it was acquired.
21 (3) The report is in addition to the plan required by
22 section 259.032(10), Florida Statutes.
23 (4) The report must serve as the basis of, and be
24 submitted with, the managing agency's annual legislative
25 budget request.
26 Section 2. The Division of State Lands, as staff to
27 the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund
28 shall be responsible for statewide coordination of the
29 development of the plans required by section 259.032(10),
30 Florida Statutes.

1 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming
2 law.
