  2         An act relating to orthotics, prosthetics, and

  3         pedorthics; allowing a person who met the

  4         experience requirement to practice orthotics,

  5         prosthetics, or pedorthics before a specified

  6         date to apply for licensure, based on the

  7         person's experience and educational

  8         preparation, without meeting the educational

  9         requirements set forth in statute; providing an

10         effective date.

12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13

14         Section 1.  Any person who met the period of experience

15  requirement set forth in section 468.805(1), Florida Statutes,

16  prior to March 1, 1998, may apply for licensure pursuant to

17  section 468.805(1), Florida Statutes, prior to July 1, 1999.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.
