  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the public transit block

  3         grant program; amending s. 341.052, F.S.;

  4         deleting a limitation on the funds available

  5         for distribution to a county; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Paragraph (d) of subsection (3) of section

11  341.052, Florida Statutes, 1998 Supplement, is amended to

12  read:

13         341.052  Public transit block grant program;

14  administration; eligible projects; limitation.--

15         (3)  The following limitations shall apply to the use

16  of public transit block grant program funds:

17         (d)  The state may not give any county more than 39

18  percent of the funds available for distribution under this

19  section, but not or more than the amount that local revenue

20  sources provide to that transit system.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.
