On Page: 333 Provides a two-step pay adjustment for sworn state law
enforcement personnel. Appropriates $3.5 million from
Spec App: 1682 the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles'
Operating Trust Fund.



NET IMPACT ON: Total Funds General Revenue Trust Funds Recurring - 3,500,000 0 3,500,000 Non-Recurring - 0 0 0 _________________________________________________________________________________ Positions & Amounts Positions & Amounts DELETE INSERT HIGHWAY SAFETY AND MOTOR VEHICLES, DEPARTMENT OF Florida Highway Patrol, Division Of In Section 06 On Page 333 1682 Salaries And Benefits From Highway Safety Operating Trust 9,253,905 12,753,905 Fund Immediately following Specific Appropriation 1682, INSERT: From the funds in Specific Appropriation 1682, $3,500,000 from the Highway Safety Operating Trust Fund shall be used by a state agency with employees in the state law enforcement bargaining unit which has elected to hire new employees at Step 3 of the law enforcement pay step plan to grant current employees in the law enforcement bargaining unit a two step pay increase effective July 1, 1999 in order to correct and maintain internal pay relationships among unit employees within the agency. Employees at the maximum of the law enforcement pay step plan within the agency shall receive an increase in their base rate of pay equivalent to a two step pay increase. 995073 Log:0323 THB/C01 03/24/99 10:53:44 PM Senate Page: 1 Motor Vehicles, Division Of In Section 06 On Page 339 1705 Data Processing Services Kirkman Data Center - Department Of Highway Safety And Motor Vehicles Immediately following Specific Appropriation 1705, DELETE: From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 1705, $1,600,000 from the Highway Safety Operating Trust Fund shall be used to fund the replacement and enhancement of equipment in tax collectors' offices. This issue shall be funded from current sources of revenue and does not assume an increase in motor vehicle license registration fees. Immediately following Specific Appropriation 1705, INSERT: From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 1705, $1,600,000 from the Highway Safety Operating Trust Fund shall be used to fund the replacement and enhancement of equipment in tax collectors' offices.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
