On Page: 128 Specifies the Department of Elder Affairs shall conduct
a feasibility study to determine the benefit of

department will report its findings by January 1, 2000.



NET IMPACT ON: Total Funds General Revenue Trust Funds Recurring - 0 0 0 Non-Recurring - 0 0 0 _________________________________________________________________________________ Positions & Amounts Positions & Amounts DELETE INSERT ELDER AFFAIRS, DEPARTMENT OF In Section 03 On Page 128 426 Salaries And Benefits Insert proviso immediately preceding Specific Appropriation 426: From the funds in Specific Appropriation 426, 427 and 428, the Department of Elder Affairs is directed to perform a feasibility study to determine the benefit of reducing the number of Area Agencies on Aging. A final report shall be presented to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President of the Senate and the Office of the Governor no later than January 1, 2000. The department may contract with an independent consultant, with no conflict of interest, to perform this study.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
