12  recommended the following amendment:

15         On page 40, between lines 29 and 30,

17  insert:

18         Section 21.  Subsection (11) of section 216.136,

19  Florida Statutes, is created to read:

20         216.136  Consensus estimating conferences; duties and

21  principals.--

22         (11)  FLORIDA RETIREMENT SYSTEM ACTUARIAL ASSUMPTION

23  CONFERENCE.--

24         (a)  Duties.--The Florida Retirement System Actuarial

25  Assumption Conference shall by consensus develop official

26  information with respect to the economic and non-economic

27  assumptions and funding methods of the Florida Retirement

28  System necessary to perform the study. Such information shall

29  include: an analysis of the actuarial assumptions and

30  actuarial methods and a determination of whether changes to

31  the assumptions or methods need to be made due to experience

 1  changes or revised future forecasts.

 2         (b)  Principals.--The members of the conference shall

 3  include the Executive Office of the Governor, the coordinator

 4  of the Office of Economic and Demographic Research, and

 5  professional staff of the Senate and House of Representatives

 6  who have forecasting expertise, or their designees. The

 7  Executive Office of the Governor shall have the responsibility

 8  of presiding over the sessions of the conference. The State

 9  Board of Administration and the Division of Retirement shall

10  be participants, as defined in s. 216.134, in the conference.
