15 page 34, line 7, delete those lines

17 and insert:
18 (b) Second noncompliance: temporary cash assistance
19 and food stamps shall be terminated for the family until the
20 individual demonstrates compliance in the required work
21 activity for a period of 30 days. Upon compliance, temporary
22 cash assistance and food stamps shall be reinstated to the
23 date of compliance. Prior to the imposition of sanctions for
24 a second noncompliance, the participant shall be interviewed
25 to determine why full compliance has not been achieved. The
26 participant shall be counseled regarding compliance and, if
27 appropriate, shall be referred for services that could assist
28 the participant to fully comply with program requirements.
29 (c) Third noncompliance: temporary cash assistance
30 and food stamps shall be terminated for the family for 3
31 months. The individual shall be required to demonstrate

1 compliance in the work activity upon completion of the 3-month
2 penalty period, before reinstatement of temporary cash
3 assistance and food stamps.
