14         On page 28, between lines 24 and 25,

16  insert:

17         Section 7.  Paragraph (e) is added to subsection (1) of

18  section 240.115, Florida Statutes, 1998 Supplement, to read:

19         240.115  Articulation agreement; acceleration

20  mechanisms.--

21         (1)

22         (e)  The Articulation Coordinating Committee shall

23  establish an articulated career path for school

24  readiness-related professions, which shall lead from

25  entry-level employment in child care and early childhood

26  education to a baccalaureate degree. The career path shall

27  provide for the articulation of:

28         1.  Vocational credit to college credit;

29         2.  Associate in science and associate in arts degrees

30  to baccalaureate degree programs;

31         3.  Credit awarded by public and private institutions;

 2         4.  Credit for experiential learning associated with

 3  minimum training requirements for employment. The Articulation

 4  Coordinating Committee shall ensure that the articulation of

 5  such credit does not jeopardize the receiving institution's

 6  accreditation status.

 8  By fall semester 2001, the articulation agreement must

 9  guarantee the statewide articulation of appropriate coursework

10  as established in the career path.
