  1                    Senate Resolution No.     

  2         A resolution commending the Legal Environmental

  3         Assistance Foundation, Inc. (LEAF), for

  4         protecting the health of people from pollution.

  5

  6         WHEREAS, the Legal Environmental Assistance Foundation,

  7  Inc. (LEAF), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to

  8  protecting the health of all people from pollution, and

  9         WHEREAS, LEAF seeks to protect life-sustaining natural

10  resources from pollution, and

11         WHEREAS, LEAF is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and

12         WHEREAS, LEAF has served the people of Florida since

13  1984, and

14         WHEREAS, LEAF continues to assist Floridians in their

15  endeavors to promote the environment, health, and well-being

16  of all communities in Florida, NOW, THEREFORE,

17

18  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

19

20         That LEAF is commended on its 20th anniversary for its

21  role in promoting the environment, health, and well-being of

22  Florida communities.

23         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,

24  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to LEAF as a

25  tangible token of the sentiments of the Florida Senate.
