11  Senator Meek moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 8, between lines 9 and 10,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 2.  Subsection (17) is added to section

18  112.313, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         112.313  Standards of conduct for public officers,

20  employees of agencies, and local government attorneys.--

21         (17)  TRAINING.--All public officers must, within 30

22  days after taking office with an agency, undergo at least 4

23  hours of training on the Code of Ethics for Public Officers

24  and Employees set forth in this part and on the requirements

25  of chapters 119 and 286 and any other applicable code of

26  ethics. Any public officer who, having undergone this

27  training, takes office with a different agency, may be excused

28  from the requirement of this paragraph. All agencies must take

29  reasonable steps to provide such training and must certify

30  completion of such training by each public officer.
