  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to orthotics, prosthetics, and

  3         pedorthics; extending the deadline for a person

  4         who has practiced orthotics, prosthetics, or

  5         pedorthics for the required period to apply for

  6         licensure, based on the person's experience and

  7         educational preparation, without meeting the

  8         educational requirements set forth in statute;

  9         providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Any person who met the period-of-experience

14  requirement as set forth in s. 468.805(1), Florida Statutes,

15  prior to March 1, 1998, may apply for licensure pursuant to s.

16  468.805(1), Florida Statutes, prior to July 1, 1999.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
