17  and insert in lieu thereof:  Notwithstanding the provisions of

18  this subsection, at any time during the first 6 months after

19  the effective date of this subsection, a limited liability

20  partnership that became a limited liability partnership before

21  the effective date of this subsection may, by filing a notice

22  with the Secretary of State so stating, waive its partners'

23  protection from liability arising from written contractual

24  obligations of the limited liability partnership with regard

25  to any particular written obligations or all written

26  obligations entered into at any time or during any particular

27  period of time set forth in the notice.  If a limited

28  liability partnership executes and delivers such a notice,

29  each partner of the limited liability partnership is jointly

30  and severally liable for the contractual obligations of the

31  partnership which are the subject of the notice, except that

 1  no partner is liable under any such contract for any amount in

 2  excess of the amount for which the partner would have been

 3  liable under the laws of this state as they existed

 4  immediately before the effective date of this subsection.
