1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the re-creation of the
3 General Inspection Trust Fund within the
4 Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
5 without modification; re-creating the General
6 Inspection Trust Fund; carrying forward current
7 balances and continuing current sources and
8 uses thereof; providing an effective date.

10 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
11 the General Inspection Trust Fund, which is otherwise
12 scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the General
15 Inspection Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date
16 and has found that it continues to meet an important public
17 purpose, and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the General Inspection Trust Fund sets
20 adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

22 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24 Section 1. (1) The General Inspection Trust Fund
25 within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services,
26 FLAIR number 42-2-321, which was created by section 570.20,
27 Florida Statutes, and which is to be terminated pursuant to
28 Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on
29 November 4, 2000, is re-created.

1 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
2 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
3 are continued.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
5 2000.
