  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Florida Saltwater Products Promotion Trust Fund

  4         without modification; re-creating the Florida

  5         Saltwater Products Promotion Trust Fund;

  6         carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  8         providing an effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Florida Saltwater Products Promotion Trust Fund, which is

12  otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

13  constitutional mandate, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Florida

15  Saltwater Products Promotion Trust Fund before its scheduled

16  termination date and has found that it continues to meet an

17  important public purpose, and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the Florida Saltwater Products Promotion

20  Trust Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW,

21  THEREFORE,

23  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24

25         Section 1.  (1)  The Florida Saltwater Products

26  Promotion Trust Fund within the Department of Agriculture and

27  Consumer Services, FLAIR number 42-2-609, which was created by

28  section 370.07, Florida Statutes, and which is to be

29  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

30  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

  1         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

  2  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

  3  are continued.

  4         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  5  2000.
