  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign Trust

  4         Fund without modification; re-creating the

  5         Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign Trust

  6         Fund; carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  8         providing an effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign Trust Fund,

12  which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

13  constitutional mandate, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Florida

15  Agricultural Promotional Campaign Trust Fund before its

16  scheduled termination date and has found that it continues to

17  meet an important public purpose, and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the Florida Agricultural Promotional

20  Campaign Trust Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW,

21  THEREFORE,

23  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24

25         Section 1.  (1)  The Florida Agricultural Promotional

26  Campaign Trust Fund within the Department of Agriculture and

27  Consumer Services, FLAIR number 42-2-920, which was created by

28  section 571.26, Florida Statutes, and which is to be

29  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

30  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

  1         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

  2  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

  3  are continued.

  4         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  5  2000.
