1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the re-creation of the Pest
3 Control Trust Fund without modification;
4 re-creating the Pest Control Trust Fund;
5 carrying forward current balances and
6 continuing current sources and uses thereof;
7 providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Pest Control Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to
11 be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
12 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Pest Control
13 Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and has found
14 that it continues to meet an important public purpose, and
15 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
16 policy concerning the Pest Control Trust Fund sets adequate
17 parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

21 Section 1. (1) The Pest Control Trust Fund, FLAIR
22 number 42-2-528, which was created within the Department of
23 Agriculture and Consumer Services and which is to be
24 terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State
25 Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.
26 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
27 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
28 are continued.
29 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
30 2000.
