  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Regulatory Trust Fund without modification;

  4         re-creating the Regulatory Trust Fund; carrying

  5         forward current balances and continuing current

  6         sources and uses thereof; providing an

  7         effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Regulatory Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to be

11  terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

12         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Regulatory

13  Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and has found

14  that it continues to meet an important public purpose, and

15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

16  policy concerning the Regulatory Trust Fund sets adequate

17  parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

20

21         Section 1.  (1)  The Regulatory Trust Fund within the

22  Department of Banking and Finance, FLAIR number 44-2-573,

23  which was created by section 215.321, Florida Statutes, and

24  which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article

25  III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is

26  re-created.

27         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

28  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

29  are continued.

30         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

31  2000.
