  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Miscellaneous Deduction Restoration Trust Fund

  4         without modification; re-creating the

  5         Miscellaneous Deduction Restoration Trust Fund;

  6         carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  8         providing an effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Miscellaneous Deduction Restoration Trust Fund, which is

12  otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

13  constitutional mandate, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Miscellaneous

15  Deduction Restoration Trust Fund before its scheduled

16  termination date and has found that it continues to meet an

17  important public purpose, and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the Miscellaneous Deduction Restoration

20  Trust Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW,

21  THEREFORE,

23  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24

25         Section 1.  (1)  The Miscellaneous Deduction

26  Restoration Trust Fund, FLAIR number 44-2-577, which was

27  approved for the Department of Banking and Finance by the

28  Administration Commission pursuant to its prior authority

29  under section 215.32, Florida Statutes, and which is to be

30  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

31  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

  1         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

  2  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

  3  are continued.

  4         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  5  2000.
