15         On page 2, lines 22 and 23, delete those lines

17  and insert:  appropriated and to draw a warrant in the sum of

18  $900,000 payable to Martha Sosa for injuries

22  And the title is amended as follows:

23         On page 2, lines 8-14, delete those lines

25  and insert:

26         WHEREAS, after a reduction for the comparative

27  negligence assigned to Ms. Sosa, the total recovery due her

28  from Metropolitan Dade County was $1,674,000, and

29         WHEREAS, after the jury verdict, the parties entered

30  into mediation and settled the case for the total amount of

31  $1,000,000 on September 14, 1998, and

 1         WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County has paid the limit of

 2  $100,000 under section 768.28, Florida Statutes, and

 3         WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County has agreed to support

 4  a claim bill for the remaining amount of $900,000, under the

 5  settlement agreement, NOW, THEREFORE,
