  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act terminating specified trust funds and

  3         fund accounts within the Department of Revenue;

  4         providing for disposition of balances in and

  5         revenues of such trust funds and fund accounts;

  6         prescribing procedures for the termination of

  7         such trust funds and fund accounts; repealing

  8         s. 61.182, F.S., relating to the Child Support

  9         Depository Trust Fund; providing an effective

10         date.

12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13

14         Section 1.  (1)  The following trust funds and fund

15  accounts within the Department of Revenue are terminated:

16         (a)  The Child Support Depository Trust Fund, FLAIR

17  number 73-2-080.

18         (b)  The Minerals Trust Fund, FLAIR number 73-2-484.

19         (c)  The Security Deposits Trust Fund, FLAIR number

20  73-2-625.

21         (d)  The Child Support Trust Fund, FLAIR number

22  75-2-084.

23         (2)  Unless otherwise provided, all current balances

24  remaining in, and all revenues of, the trust funds terminated

25  by this act shall be transferred to the General Revenue Fund.

26         (3)  For each trust fund and fund account terminated by

27  this act, the agency or branch that administers the trust fund

28  or fund account shall pay any outstanding debts and

29  obligations of the terminated fund or account as soon as

30  practicable, and the Comptroller shall close out and remove

31  the terminated fund or account from the various state

  1  accounting systems using generally accepted accounting

  2  principles concerning warrants outstanding, assets, and

  3  liabilities.

  4         Section 2.  Section 61.182, Florida Statutes, is

  5  repealed.

  6         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.
