  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

  3         Displaced Homemaker Trust Fund within the

  4         Department of Education, Division of Community

  5         Colleges, without modification; carrying

  6         forward current balances and continuing current

  7         sources and uses thereof; providing an

  8         effective date.

  9

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Displaced Homemaker Trust Fund within the Department of

12  Education, Division of Community Colleges, which is otherwise

13  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

14  and

15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Displaced

16  Homemaker Trust Fund within the Department of Education,

17  Division of Community Colleges, before its scheduled

18  termination date and has found that it continues to meet an

19  important public purpose, and

20         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

21  policy concerning the Displaced Homemaker Trust Fund within

22  the Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges,

23  sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

24

25  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

26

27         Section 1.  (1)  The Displaced Homemaker Trust Fund

28  within the Department of Education, Division of Community

29  Colleges, FLAIR number 48-2-160, which is created by section

30  446.50, Florida Statutes, and which is to be terminated

  1  pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

  2  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

  3         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

  4  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

  5  are continued.

  6         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  7  2000.
