1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the re-creation of the
3 Textbook Bid Trust Fund without modification;
4 re-creating the Textbook Bid Trust Fund;
5 carrying forward current balances and
6 continuing current sources and uses thereof;
7 providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Textbook Bid Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to
11 be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
12 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Textbook Bid
13 Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and has found
14 that it continues to meet an important public purpose, and
15 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
16 policy concerning the Textbook Bid Trust Fund sets adequate
17 parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

21 Section 1. (1) The Textbook Bid Trust Fund, FLAIR
22 number 48-2-730, which was created within the Department of
23 Education and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section
24 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,
25 2000, is re-created.
26 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
27 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
28 are continued.
29 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
30 2000.
