1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the re-creation of the State
3 University System Concurrency Trust Fund
4 without modification; re-creating the State
5 University System Concurrency Trust Fund;
6 carrying forward current balances and
7 continuing current sources and uses thereof;
8 providing an effective date.

10 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
11 the State University System Concurrency Trust Fund, which is
12 otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to
13 constitutional mandate, and
14 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the State
15 University System Concurrency Trust Fund before its scheduled
16 termination date and has found that it continues to meet an
17 important public purpose, and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the State University System Concurrency
20 Trust Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW,
21 THEREFORE,

23 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

25 Section 1. (1) The State University System
26 Concurrency Trust Fund within the Department of Education,
27 FLAIR number 49-2-682, which was created by section 240.156,
28 Florida Statutes, and which is to be terminated pursuant to
29 Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on
30 November 4, 2000, is re-created.

1 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
2 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
3 are continued.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
5 2000.
