1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the re-creation of the
3 University of Florida Health Center Operations
4 and Maintenance Trust Fund without
5 modification; re-creating the trust fund;
6 carrying forward current balances and
7 continuing current sources and uses thereof;
8 providing an effective date.

10 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
11 the University of Florida Health Center Operations and
12 Maintenance Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to be
13 terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
14 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund
15 before its scheduled termination date and has found that it
16 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
18 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
19 its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

21 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23 Section 1. (1) The University of Florida Health
24 Center Operations and Maintenance Trust Fund within the
25 Department of Education, FLAIR number 49-2-424, which was
26 created by section 240.513, Florida Statutes, and which is to
27 be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the
28 State Constitution on July 1, 1999, is re-created.
29 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
30 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
31 are continued.

1 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.
