  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         University of Florida Institute of Food and

  4         Agricultural Sciences Relocation and

  5         Construction Trust Fund without modification;

  6         re-creating the University of Florida Institute

  7         of Food and Agricultural Sciences Relocation

  8         and Construction Trust Fund; carrying forward

  9         current balances and continuing current sources

10         and uses thereof; providing an effective date.

12         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

13  the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural

14  Sciences Relocation and Construction Trust Fund, which is

15  otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

16  constitutional mandate, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the University of

18  Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Relocation

19  and Construction Trust Fund before its scheduled termination

20  date and has found that it continues to meet an important

21  public purpose, and

22         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

23  policy concerning the University of Florida Institute of Food

24  and Agricultural Sciences Relocation and Construction Trust

25  Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

26

27  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

28

29         Section 1.  (1)  The University of Florida Institute of

30  Food and Agricultural Sciences Relocation and Construction

31  Trust Fund within the Department of Education, FLAIR number

  1  49-2-384, which was created pursuant to chapter 90-148, Laws

  2  of Florida, and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section

  3  19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,

  4  2000, is re-created.

  5         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

  6  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

  7  are continued.

  8         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  9  2000.
