15         On page 4, between lines 8 and 9,

17  insert:

18         Section 4.  Paragraph (c) is added to subsection (3) of

19  section 234.021, Florida Statutes, to read:

20         234.021  Hazardous walking conditions.--

21         (3)  CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING HAZARDOUS WALKING

22  CONDITIONS.--

23         (c)Walking on an overpass which crosses over an

24  interstate highway.--It shall be considered hazardous walking

25  conditions with respect to any vehicle overpass which crosses

26  over an interstate highway which students must walk in order

27  to travel to and from school.

28         1.  This provision shall apply regardless of the

29  existence of a walkway, unless a concrete barrier separates

30  the walkway from parallel traffic; and

31         2.  Students do not have to cross at an interstate on
