  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to malt beverage containers;

  3         amending s. 563.06, F.S.; revising language

  4         with respect to the size container which malt

  5         beverages may be sold in by vendors at retail;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Subsection (6) of section 563.06, Florida

11  Statutes, is amended to read:

12         563.06  Malt beverages; imprint on individual

13  container; size of containers; exemptions.--

14         (6)  All malt beverages packaged in individual

15  containers sold or offered for sale by vendors at retail in

16  this state shall be in individual containers containing less

17  than 1 gallon only 8, 12, 16, or 32 ounces of such malt

18  beverages; provided, however, that nothing contained in this

19  section shall affect malt beverages packaged in bulk or in

20  kegs or in barrels or in any individual container containing 1

21  gallon or more of such malt beverage regardless of individual

22  container type.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.

      Provides that all malt beverages packaged in individual
28    containers sold or offered for sale by vendors at retail
      in this state shall be in individual containers
29    containing less than 1 gallon of such malt beverages.
