1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act re-creating the Nonmandatory Land
3 Reclamation Trust Fund of the Department of
4 Environmental Protection without modification;
5 carrying forward current balances and
6 continuing current sources and uses thereof;
7 providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Nonmandatory Land Reclamation Trust Fund, which is
11 otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to
12 constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Nonmandatory
14 Land Reclamation Trust Fund before its scheduled termination
15 date and has found that it continues to meet an important
16 public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the existing public
18 policy concerning the Nonmandatory Land Reclamation Trust Fund
19 sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
20
21 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23 Section 1. (1) The Nonmandatory Land Reclamation
24 Trust Fund within the Department of Environmental Protection,
25 FLAIR number 37-2-506, which is to be terminated pursuant to
26 Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on
27 November 4, 2000, is re-created.
28 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
29 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
30 are continued.

1 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
2 2000.
